Configuring an AI Connection

Simpli List Views Enterprise has AI features included in its tooling. It is a bring your own AI model where the customer needs a subscription to the AI service used. Anthropic is currently the only AI engine implemented for use within Simpli List Views Enterprise. If another AI service is needed the service must be implemented. Please contact support.

 

There are a few setup steps to ensure AI works as expected.

Permission Set

In order to use the AI features the Simpli List Views Enterprise AI User or Simpli List Views Enterprise AI Super User permission set must be assigned to the user needing the capability.


List View AI Service Metadata

If the AI service does not exist in the List View AI Service metadata a new record should be created. This information will be provided to you.


List View AI Service Setting Metadata

Each AI service being used has different settings that need to be set for the service to work as expected.


Anthropic

add a new settings record with the following information - 

  • Label - x-api-key
  • Value -  your anthropic API key
  • List View AI setting - find the Anthropic service record.


Remote Site Setting

A remote site setting must be added for the AI service being used. An an example, in the case of Anthropic the URL provided should be https://api.anthropic.com


Create Named Credential

As an administrator create a new named credential (legacy) with the following data – 

  • Label – <Your AI Service> API (Ex. Anthropic API)
  • URL – the URL to your AI service API (Ex. https://api.anthropic.com)
  • Identity Type - Named Principal
  • Authentication Protocol - Password Authentication
  • Username - anything (not used as the API key is used)
  • Password - anything (not used as the API key is used)
  • Generate Authorization Header - true
  • Allow Merge Fields in HTTP Header - true

Create List Views Org Connection

Create a new List Views Org Connection record with the following data – 

  • Type – AI Connection
  • Label – Your AI Service Name
  • Named Credential Name – The API name of the named credential created above. (Ex. Anthropic_API)
